Carlsbad Newborn Photography Studio

I loved working with this sweet family.  I shot mom and dad's maternity session a few months back, and now their little guy has made his appearance!  I especially love it when parents bring along a few heirloom items... this little guy was photographed with his father's and grandfather's police badges.  How special! Lake Tahoe Family Photography - The M Family

It was a pleasure working with this lovely family of four.  Nicole contacted me about a week ago to see if I would photograph their family.  She is a photographer in Connecticut, and they were planning a family vacation at Lake Tahoe... and they wanted photos taken.  It is an honor to be asked by a fellow photographer!  Here are a few sneak peek photos. I am based in Sacramento, but my in-laws live in Tahoe full time.  So if you are finding this post, and interested in Tahoe photos, please don't hesitate to ask.  I love shooting at Lake Tahoe!

Maternity Photography - Monterey, CA

I did work a little while on vacation in Monterey a few weeks back.  I did an engagement shoot, and met up with a friend and her husband, who are expecting their first baby in just a few months!  They live just 20 minutes outside of Monterey, so they joined us for dinner!  Before dinner though, we headed off to Old Town Monterey.  Monterey Old Town Historic District, which is a National Historic Landmark, includes buildings from the 18th-19th centuries that illustrate the Spanish colonial era of the town, including the Old Customhouse (the only customhouse north of Mexico from 1828-1845), the Thomas Larkin House, 1835, one of the first two story adobes in California, and Casa Alvarado, the home of Juan Bautista Alvarado, the governor of California from 1836 to 1842.  All I can say is PERFECT for portraits!  It was slightly overcast and the lighting was perfect.  Here are some images from the afternoon! monterey, california maternity photographer

Sacramento Birth Photography - Amazing First Moments

Wow!  This past Sunday evening, I had the privledge of photographing the first moments of life for a sweet little girl named Hannah!  I was hired by the parents to photograph their birth experience, and they were not due until this week.   They knew that I was out of town this weekend in Tahoe.  I missed her actual birth by just a half hour, but I was still able to catch those first few hours. Amazing. I was so honored to be a part of these first moments...  Please click HERE to view a full slideshow that I created for the parents (shared with permission).  And below are a few images from the night. sacramento birth photographysacramento birth photography

sacramento think pink network photographer Lovely Baby Photography is excited to announce a partnership with Think Pink Photography. Think Pink Photography was founded in October 2007 to support individuals and their families who have been touched by breast cancer. They are a charitable organization that serves two main purposes – celebrating life and supporting the cause.

Through their professional photographer network, we are all helping breast cancer patients to celebrate life with charitable photography sessions. Individuals may choose to document their fight against the disease before or during treatment, or prefer to capture their victory by scheduling a session within 12 months after treatment is completed. Photographers world-wide are now available to donate time and talent to celebrate life and support the cause. There is no cost or obligation to the breast cancer patient. Clients participating in a Think Pink Session will receive a complimentary photo session, as well as a set of 10 small prints from the session. They will also receive a discount on any additional portraits they wish to purchase, although there is absolutely no purchase required at any time.

To support the cause, they have partnered with The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation. All funds generated through donations and various fundraising efforts are paid directly to The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation. As a 3-time breast cancer survivor, Danielle Beverly and her husband Eric joined together to form a foundation dedicated to promoting education, increasing awareness, and providing support and resources for families who have been touched by breast cancer.

Please subscribe to our blog (on the Think Pink website) and tell your friends and family about Think Pink Photography. Awareness is everything and we can’t be successful without you.

I encourage you to view the Think Pink website, make a donation, or hire a photographer that supports Think Pink Photography! If you hire me, mention Think Pink and I will make a personal donation to the organization. If you, or someone you know, would like to schedule a Think Pink session, please contact me for details.

I am very proud to be a network photographer with Think Pink Photography, and am anxious to get the word out about this amazing program. For more information, you can contact me, or you can visit the Think Pink Photography website at:
