As a professional maternity, newborn and baby photographer serving the San Diego area, I pride myself in capturing and creating beautiful and captivating images of the big milestones in your life. The journey of pregnancy, the sweetness of a new baby, the milestones of life. Each of these distinct moments, are just that - moments in time.

When you commission a professional photographer you are paying for their expertise, talent, and time to ensure that your images will be captured perfectly and professionally…the first time. I have been photographing maternity, newborns, first year and family portraits for ten years. You are in very professional hands when you hire me.

What goes into a session - and why its important:

TIME

Besides the time working at the session, there is an additional minimum of 10+ hours of behind-the-scenes work that the client does not see—here is a general breakdown of my time per newborn session:

1 hour – Set up the studio

3 hours hours – Session time

1 hour - Tear down and laundry from each session.

4-8 hours – Upload and back up photos. Cull and edit photos (color correction, toning and retouching).

1-2 hours – Set up the online gallery. Process retouching requests, final check for quality, prepare images on USB, print, canvases, etc. Package and ship.

As you can see, the time spent for one session can range from 10-12 hours. Because professional photography is time- and labour-intensive, I only accept very limited bookings per month to ensure I have plenty of time to perfect your images.
