I have been photographing families here in Carlsbad since 2009. My studio is on Faraday Avenue, right in the heart of the city, and many of my Carlsbad clients tell me they chose a local photographer because they wanted someone who understands this community. I photograph maternity, newborn, milestone, cake smash, and family sessions, and every family gets my full attention for the entire day of their session.

If you are expecting and live in Carlsbad, my studio is probably closer than you think. I have over 150 maternity gowns for you to choose from, and hair and makeup is included with every maternity session. I photograph maternity sessions between weeks 30 and 34, when the bump photographs beautifully and you are still comfortable enough to enjoy the experience. Everything is set up and ready when you walk in.

For Carlsbad families, I recommend booking your newborn session while you are still pregnant so we can plan ahead. The ideal window is between 5 and 21 days, when babies are at their sleepiest and most naturally curly. I take one session per day, so there is never any rushing. Your baby sets the pace, and we work around feeds, naps, and cuddles.

Cake smash sessions are one of my favourite things to photograph. For Carlsbad families, I provide everything: a custom cake from a local bakery, themed backdrops from my collection of over 250, and a splash bath to finish. Your one year old gets to make a mess, have fun, and look adorable doing it.

To get from Carlsbad to Lovely Baby Photography at 2185 Faraday Avenue, Suite 110, Carlsbad, California 92008, start by heading east on Carlsbad Village Drive. Merge onto El Camino Real and continue south for approximately two miles. Turn left onto Faraday Avenue, continuing for about half a mile. Look for the business complex on your right; Suite 110 will be within this complex at 2185 Faraday Avenue. Ample parking is available on site. The journey typically takes about ten minutes by car, depending on traffic conditions. Ensure you confirm the suite number upon arrival for a smooth visit.
